When I try to run the a slideshow (with Digikam or Gwenview) with either the Ken Burns Effect or with other OpenGL effects with activated "Use fullscreen resolution" I don't see any pictures, it just shows a white screen. I still see the transitions, the screen fades to black and then back to white again but no pictures are shown. The pictures are normal jpeg or png pictures and it works with other slideshow effects.
And it is just one computer where this doesn't work. On my other computer these slidehows work without any problems. So maybe this is a configuration or a driver problem.

Do you use NVIDIA cards ? Which driver version ?

I use an ATI graphics card with the open source "ati" driver.
The output of lspci:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 AP [Radeon 9600] [1002:4150]

About the driver version, I'm not completely sure where to look for it and which one is the right one but this is what I found:
The package xserver-xorg-video-(ati|radeon) are version 1:6.12.99+git20090929.768e1fb-0ubuntu1
GLXinfo shows this:
libGL: XF86DRIGetClientDriverName: 5.3.0 r300 (screen 0)

Same here (fullscreen, white fades) with an ATI9200 (driver "ati") on Mandriva 2010.0. What information should I provide to solve this riddle?

Same here, digikam/kipi-plugins from Ubuntu Maverick, also using ATI Mesa r300 driver.

Some more info: starting with LIBGL_DEBUG=true, I get:

I have a new computer where the problem doesn't occur anymore so I can't test it, but as far as I remember it resolved itself after a distribution upgrade. I suspect it was a problem with the graphics driver.
