it does this regardless what folder is chosen for the slideshow? It seems so. I tried with the default ('/usr/share/wallpapers') as well as directories in my home dir, one with only wallpapers in sub directories and one with no sub directories. It's the same problem each time. I am using different activities for each desktop, and it seems that a wallpaper is always loaded for one of my four activities. I have a similar problem on Fedora 13, using KDE 4.4.3: I have six workspaces defined, with "slideshow" running on each of them, changing each minute. Each "slideshow" is pointing to /Wallpapers as it's image directory. That directory contains about 500 jpeg and png images. (The default directory has been removed.) I'm using KDM 4.4.3-1 as the window manager, not the Fedora default GNOME. When the KDE session is opened, all the workspaces except the first one have no wallpaper displayed. If I right-click on one of the blank workspaces and select the "Next Wallpaper Image" menu item, the slideshow starts running. Not that having the image displayed on each workspace being different from the image on any other workspace is VERY GOOD and MUCH APPRECIATED. Please don't change that part of the app. The first word of the last paragraph in my description in #3 above, should have been NOTE, not NOT. Sorry if it confused anyone. I can't reproduce this bug with KDE 4.7.3 Can you try again with a more recent version? Feel free to reopen if still valid :) *** Bug 247210 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Closing based on comment #6. Please feel free to reopen if you can reproduce this with KDE 4.8.3 or later. |
