Description Kris 2010-01-01 21:13:47 UTC
Version: 2.13 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When I choose a number of files from a mounted NFS Shared folder in Dolphin and choose "Archive" there ends up being a preserved path inside the archive similar to "../../../../../home/me/stuff". This behavior is unwanted and does not happen with "local" files, and moving the many gigabytes worth of data on my servers to my workstation is not feasible, or possible in some situations, without compression (hence the need for this).
Comment 1 Kris 2010-01-01 21:19:03 UTC
After some looking into it I noticed that if I do this in the actual mounted folder (/srv/stuff) it does not include the preserved path (../../../.. etc) I have a number of these folders symlinked to folders in my home directory, so the problem is actually with the handling of the symlinked directories.
