Version:           2:1.0.0~rc-1ubuntu1~karmic1  (using KDE 4.3.2)
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

I'm trying to create a calendar for 2010 for my parents with the "create calendar tool" in digikam. However I'm not able to make the calendar in dutch. It is not possible to select an alternative language for the calendar.

Bert,

It still valid using kipi-plugins 2.4 ?

I'm currently on ubuntu 11.10. kipi-plugin is version 2:2.1.1-0ubuntu1
I'm not sure therefore. But unless an option has been added to the plugin, I expect it to still behave the same. However, With a similar problem in evolution I was adviced to start with a different locale parameter setting in the shell environment (e.g. LC_ADDRESS=nl_NL.UTF-8 evolution) Is this doable in this case too?
Mind: I use English for my computer locale settings, menus, etc. But I want the calendar printed in dutch.

Alternatively, is there an easy way to upgrade kipi-plugins to 2.4? ppa or package?

As far as I can say calendar work wit the local settings.
Can you try running
LC_ALL=nl_NL.UTF-8 digikam

Yes, you can close the bug. It works fine now.
I still have the problem that I normally run with US locale, and want to
print in dutch. But I can change this locally for that once in a while...

Regards,

Bert

bert i'm almost sure there is a tool to change the locale setting at run time in kde settings, i believe to have seen it running some live cd... maybe you can try that way.
Thanks for your report.
