Description Jeffrey 2009-12-30 03:06:49 UTC
Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

I would like to be able to copy current playlists and saved playlists to devices that show up in Amarok, such as Apple iPods and Sansa Clips, among others.

This would be great if I could copy the right Playlist pane to a device (no option when I right-click over there) or if I could right-click a saved Playlist and chose to copy that to my device (also not an option when I right-click on a saved playlist).

I have a Sansa Clip but I would like to see this as an option for any music player that allows for .m3u playlists. The Sansa Clip, according to this post:
http://www.guyrutenberg.com/2009/07/11/using-amarok-generated-playlists-m3u-on-sansa-clip/
uses back slashes for its paths; other players may use front or back, I don't know. Linux obviously uses front slashes for paths.

Amarok can transfer music fine when my Sansa Clip is connected as an MTP device, and I can manually copy files when the clip is connected as an MSC device, but switching between the two to manually edit the playlist as described in the above post is absurd.

Thanks for Amarok!
