Description Philipp Hullmann 2009-12-29 17:49:26 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using 4.3.85 (KDE 4.3.85 (KDE 4.4 Beta2)) "release 203", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.2)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.5-0.1-default

Open showfoto from digikam to edit an image. Then apply e.g. the crop tool. When finished, click "OK" on the right side of the window. Now showphoto appears to work for a short time, then both the showfoto and the digikam window close.

This does not appear to be a crash (i.e. leaves no core file or any useful error messages in .xsession-errors).

This was observed using digikam 1.0.0, installed from the openSuSE factory packages: digikam and digikam-lang 1.0.0-21.4

Install debug package and give us a gdb backtrace.

Run digikam under gdb. This must be some sort of crash.
Comment 4 Philipp Hullmann 2009-12-30 13:22:09 UTC
You're right, it was a crash:

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

Backtrace added as an attachment, because it's huge.
