Sentry Crash Report:

Description Frank Steinmetzger 2009-12-29 15:25:48 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

I use cover switch (the cower-flow-style thingy where windows move from right to left) as effect for Alt+Tab. Also, I am a big fan of Drag+Drop between applications. For example: I want to drag a file from Krusader to KRename. If I switch to KRename fast enough so the effect would not be invoked, everything’s fine.

But when I keep Alt pressed long enough so the cover switch gets shown, *Krusader* crashes as soon as I release Alt and thus end the effect. KWin itself does *not* crash but keeps running happily.

"Related bugs" in the previous step of this bug report only showed entries about KWin crashing when using the vista-style effect. So I assume those might be related, but they’re not exactly the same. Sorry there’s no debug info; I’m on Gentoo without debugging stuff compiled in. But I suppose it is reproducable on other systems as well.

Cheers
