Description Andrew Fuller 2009-12-28 23:28:54 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

When rendering a web page with no colours specified, KHTML renders black text on the system defined background colour. With a dark colour scheme this is near illegible. Either following the system colours for all undefined colours (in this case resulting in white text on a black background) or even forcing the default to black text on white background (what the web designer probably expected) regardless of the system settings would result in legible text.

Dear user,

KHTML (and KJS) was a long time more or less unmaintained and got removed in KF6.

Please migrate to use a QWebEngine based HTML component.

We will do no further fixes or improvements to the KF5 branches of these components beside important security fixes.

For security issues, please see:

https://kde.org/info/security/

Sorry that we did not fix this issue during the life-time of KHTML.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
