ACM268 does not work, must use OGG. Ken, this is a problem with Phonon and a duplicate. Not much we can do about that till KDE SC 4.4 is released with a newer Phonon. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 196320 *** Myriam, When do you think KDE SC 4.4 will be released with the new Phonon in it? Also, I get a flash that says, "AmarokLCD cannot connect to LCDproc." What does this mean? I keep getting segmentation faults and cannot change tracks without the program shutting down on me. By the way, Merry Christmas to you and your family. I wish you the best this New Year. ken You should upgrade to Amarok 2.2.1, see http://kubuntu.org/news/amarok-2.2.1 for instructions on how to do it. You will also need the newer KDE 4.3.4 (which is in the same PPA anyway), but since both these versions are bug-fix releases, there is no risk upgrading to it. Thank you for the wishes, I wish the same to you and your family :) Myriam,
I am lost. Amarok 2.2.1 is installed now but I am scratching my head how
to upgrade to KDE 4.3.4. (I am KDE 4.3.3) Would you mind helping me some
more?
Thanks,
ken

amarok 2.2.2 and KDE 4.3.4 both are installed but the problems with amarok remain. what does amarokLCD does not connect to LCDproc mean? Is there a way to eliminate Phonon or is it a very vital part of amarok? ken |
