Description Byron 2009-12-25 18:23:02 UTC
Version: 1.3 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Typically, when navigating through files in Dolphin using the arrow keys, the right panel (called "Information") displays a thumbnail preview for the currently-highlighted file.

If one renames the currently-highlighted file (to something different) using the F2 shortcut, and then navigates to other files with the arrow keys, the previews in the "Information" panel do not thumbnail the highlighted file, but rather the recently-renamed file.

Dolphin seems to attempt to update the preview when moving around using the arrow keys (the preview flickers once as though repainting/updating, but is still the preview of the recently-renamed file). It is not until one changes the mouse focus (e.g. mouse over a file icon, or mouse click on the main panel with file icons) that the previews are once again updated.

Expected behavior: the previews in the "Information" panel should update when using the arrow keys to move around, even after a file operation such as renaming.
