Description Dotan Cohen 2009-12-24 00:56:31 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

The clipboard can hold many types of data: plain text, rich text, image, etc. Now that many KDE apps support rich text (such as Korganizer and Kaddressbook's notes field) it would be great if there were a simple function that would paste as text. Maybe with Shift-Mouse3 and Shift-Ctrl-V.

My primary use case is pasting into Kaddressbook from Open Office, but this issue will certainly affect other use cases.

This could be an option in the QTextEdit menu or its keyboard/mouse handling. Please request this feature directly from Qt developers via https://bugreports.qt-project.org/

For other applications, that do not use a QTextEdit (e.g. Calligra Words), please report this separately.
