TIFF image that fails to load in Showfoto
Here is a TIFF-image that fails to load in Showfoto, but works fine with Dolphin's preview and GIMP. It was generated by the Webmail-Services of ARCOR.DE and contains both text and an image. I have other images, but the ones that fail are seem to be all black and white only.
try with digiKam 1.0.0 (just released...) Gilles Caulier I cannot find digiKam 1.0.0 in the openSUSE11.2 repositories yet, and in the SUSE-forums I was told to report here instead, so I did. Steffen, This file still valid using digiKam 2.x serie ? Gilles Caulier Yes, I still cannot display the previously attached tiff with showFoto Version 2.2.0 Unter KDE 4.7.2 (4.7.2) "release 5" While Gimp and Okular display all my .tif images just fine, I can only load very few successfully with showFoto. I could provide more pictures if this would help. I got the same issue with Digikam 2.7 on OpenSuse 12.1. TIFFs won't be display with the hint "Failed to load image" but with JPEGs all is fine. Thought this might ahve something in common with the color profiles but that's not so. Same problem with some sample TIFFs like any of these: http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/TEST_IMAGES/TIFF/ or only with particular images? Hi Marcel, i checked all pictures and got the following problems: no thumb generated, no preview with: gray-16bit-noicc.tif vpscmyk-phs-16.tif no preview with: vps-cmyk.tif All else doing fine. Thanks for your support Mike Well there are a lot of flavours of the TIFF standard, and some of them are not supported at the moment. CMYK images are good candidates. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 186054 *** Fixed with #186054 |
