Seems like some kind of issue with the scripting. May be the qtscriptbindings should be recompiled ? Might be related to Qt 4.6. Please install the libqt4-dbg package to get a better backtrace and make sure you don't have any 3rd-party scripts running. Those can be disabled in the $HOME/.kde/share/config/amarokrc file. SELinux is enabled on my Fedora 14 (Rawhide)install, and the bug deals with SELinux denying access. I can make an exception that will allow amarok to get past this, but this doesn't help the next user if the problem isn't fixed. The bug might be in the selinux-policy itself and not amarok, but that is yet to be seen. I am running a Gnome based system with my favorite KDE components added in, such as K3b and Konversation, just a FYI. Firefox is also getting the same type of AVC denial, so, if a solution appears with a new version of selinux-policy, I will add another comment. *** Bug 241747 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 242560 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 243451 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 243490 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 244666 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 244974 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 245108 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 245570 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 245990 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I have found that the Cool Streams Reloaded (http://opendesktop.org/content/show.php?content=119910) script causes Amarok to crash (see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245990) Nikita, please report this to the author of the script on http://kde-apps.org/, scripts are 3rd-party applications, out of our repsonsability. Script manager with too many scripts installed
Ok, I have notified author of the script.
I found one more interesting thing. When Amarok contains has too many scripts installed, that not fits to the script manager window, opening that window causes Amarok to hang and eat one core of my cpu.
Also, this happens not only on updated system but on clean install of Mandriva 2010.1. Should I open new bub? Sorry, *bug (In reply to comment #74) > I found one more interesting thing. Which is a completely different issue, see bug 213068. One report per bug only, please, else this gets impossible to trace. As for your comment #75: what is happening on a clean install? The script manager hanging? Then see above. Please do not add comments on bugs that are reported and/or fixed in more recent versions than the one you are running. *** Bug 246394 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 246451 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 246906 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 247442 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 247867 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 248560 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 248601 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 249095 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Enabled scripts are: Cool Streams, Librivox.org and Lyricwiki Those are default on Kubuntu. amarok (2.3.1.90) on KDE Platform 4.5.1 (KDE 4.5.1) using Qt 4.7.0
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
DrKonqi says my bug's related to this one, so I went to read it on the website, but I honestly got confused. I see it was closed, so I don't know how useful this addition might be. Sorry if I didn't need to report this one. Basically, what I was doing was simply listening to music from a playlist made of local tracks: unexpectedly, music stuttered, Amarok crashed, and DrKonqi popped up.

Leonardo, this bug is caused by a 3-rd party script you are running, the most frequent culprit in the past months was ultimatelyrics, but it can well be another one. I your case, most likely thze last installed script. You can disable the scripts selectively by editing the $HOME/.kde/share/config&amarokrc file to identify the culprit. Since the Amarok team is not responsible for those scripts, you need to address the report directly to the script author on http://kde-apps.org. Every script has a forum attached where you can add your comment. Oh, OK.
