It would be nice if Okular would remember the password assiciated with a PDF document so you won't have to enter it each time you open the document.

UI-wise, the could be a checkbox in the password entry dialog asking "Should Okular remember the password for this file in the future?" or similar.

It works this way already, as long as you have the kde wllet system enabled.
Do you have kwallet enabled?

Ah, I see.
I have kwallet disabled, because it kept annoying me in other situations.
