Sentry Crash Report:

Description Florian Lindner 2009-12-14 22:22:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
Compiler: gcc version 4.4.1 [gcc-4_4-branch revision 150839] (SUSE Linux)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

Land/region settings in KDE contains a spell checking module. There is an option (the first one) to ignore words written entirely in capitals ("Durchgehend groß geschriebene Wörter überspringen" in German).

This option seems to be ignored and KDE applications spell checking still tickles words like HHG.

I can confirm this bug here on KDE 4.4.0 on openSUSE
Comment 2 Christoph Cullmann 2024-09-14 17:07:00 UTC
Hi,

kdelibs (version 4 and earlier) is no longer maintained since a few years.

KDE Frameworks 5 or 6 might already have resolved this bug.

If not, please re-open against the matching framework if feasible or against the application that shows the issue.

We then can still dispatch it to the right Bugzilla product or component.

Greetings
Christoph Cullmann
