- Can you switch to the other desktops using the shortcut (Ctrl+F1/F2/F3/F..) ?
- Can you provide a screenshot of your Plasma desktop configuration ?
Thanks

Hi. I am adding my problem to this cause I feel they may be somewhat related. My System is openSuSE 11.2 and on initial installation I only allowed 2 desktops. One of the things that I thought was exciting in KDE4 was the Desktop views with Windows or Widgets slanted or turned to one side. I still have not been able to figure out how to do it and in reading various comments on the Web it looked like I needed at least 4 Desktops. So, with 3 terminal windows, two Firefox windows, one VMware window open, plus my Desktop folder and a couple other icons on the actual desktop(Desktop 1)... I went into "Configuration Desktop" and increased the number of Desktops to 4. After clicking on "Apply" my active desktop lost the Desktop Folder, changed the background and wiped everything. Fortunately, all the windows(this being one of them) were still available via the Task Bar -but- No Desktop Folder and No icons. There isn't an intuitively obvious way to get my Desktop Folder back. Maybe on re-boot it will -BUT- it really shouldn't have happened in the first place and this change shouldn't require a re-boot... or should it?? IF I am unhurt and crying, cause it comes back after a re-boot... I apologize.

Ok. I ended the session and logged back in. No Desktop Folder. Re-booted and logged back in. No Desktop folder.

Works fine for me.

Feel free to reopen the report if the problem still happens in recent versions ( KDE SC 4.8.4 or higher). Thanks.
