Description Chuck Taylor 2009-12-14 01:06:30 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

Just "Updated" to version 4.4 again. I tried once and I screwed up. Recovered the system by doing an Install WITHOUT formating. Then after getting a "working" system I did the Update again. The first time problems were caused by NOT going down the whole list and selecting the proper actions. I thought only the first 3 or 4 would be sufficient cause they all "looked" the same. Evidently they weren't and that is why my first attempt failed. Now after the uncouth recovery from the first and then the new "One Click" install on openSuSE I have 13 Recently Installed items in the Applications section of the Kickoff Launcher. Also the Favorites Section only has 5 items; Firefox, Openoffice, Dolphin, Config Desktop and Help. My main reason for even trying the "newer" version is cause of focus problems. With multiple Windows open things on the desktop can get exciting. Either the desktop is screwing up or

What list are you talking about?

KDE does not have a "recently installed applications" menu, this is an openSUSE specific extension.

You should not say "compiled from source", when you actually use openSUSE provided packages. Please file this bug report to bugzilla.novell.com

For the desktop focus problems, please file a separate bug report, stating the exact problems you have.

The recently Installed items, and there were 13 copies of the same thing, have disappeared on their own. I don't know how to reproduce it so I guess we can drop it for now. For the focus problems I will file a separate report ... IF there isn't one that already covers them.
Thanks for your reply.
