This happens for me to with kde 4.4. After opening a dolphin on a samba share mounted with samba4k, it goes 100% cpu on unmounting.

This problem occurs for me too.

Kernel 2.6.33-34_rc2
KDE 4.3 - 4.4

Root directory of server connected to /mnt/srv.
After "Open file" in kate, it browse to /mnt/srv, but when try enter to /mnt/srv/usr, kio_thumbnail start eating 101% of cpu and I'm not able to kill it, so whole computer have to be turned off by PWR button. Network connection is 100% OK, this bug occurs only with KDE.

Is this still an issue with KDE Frameworks 5.44 or greater?

cannot confirm high cpu usage when I disconnect a wired network while dolphin generates thumbs of jpg files from a samba share.
