Bug 218219

Summary: Add "Open in New Window" Menu Item
Product: [Applications] okular Reporter: Jeffery MacEachern <j.maceachern>
Component: generalAssignee: Okular developers <okular-devel>
Status: RESOLVED FIXED
Severity: wishlist CC: aacid, dbitouze
Priority: NOR
Version: unspecified
Target Milestone: ---
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Unspecified
Latest Commit: Version Fixed In: 4.10.0

Description Jeffery MacEachern 2009-12-11 02:58:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
Installed from: Archlinux Packages

Feature:
"Open Document in New Window" Menu Item

Rationale:
Okular allows multiple instances for different documents, but has no apparent way of spawning a new window for a second document you wish to open short of manually starting a new instance of Okular. This is not terribly problematic, but it is rather annoying. Adding an "Open in New Window" item would make this operation more convenient, while not adding appreciable UI complexity.

This should be fixed in 4.10.0, we no longer replace the current document when opening a new one

Good enough for me. :) Thanks!

AFAICS, this feature is still not been implemented in Okular 4.11.4: too bad! :)
