Description Jon Nelson 2009-12-09 17:40:49 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

The problem is that digikam appears to *copy* the images (or large video files!) and this is very very slow compared to simply *moving* (renaming) them. Obviously, a rename won't always work due to various filesystem issues but it should still be tried *first* and then only if that doesn't work should a copy (+subsequent delete) be used.
