I'm on kde 4.4 beta1. When we open kickoff menu and enter search term, the resulting entries don't have focus so only way to select any application is to click it. But it should be possible to select application by keyboard navigation and hitting return.

A long time ago it worked fine... since some time the focus is no more given to the result list.

I agree with Ruchir: filtering, selecting and starting program should be possible with keyboard only.
