Description Aleksander Balicki 2009-12-04 14:49:00 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.4)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.4 (Gentoo 4.3.4 p1.0, pie-10.1.5)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

reproduce:
I import a public key of my friend and i try to certify it with my own key. I click rmb on the key in the list and then i click certify. I choose mail adress and how to certify. I click "Certify" button. Then it says "bad password" without asking for any or it just hangs - while running it from command line, during this hang it spams ncurses password window from gpg-cli.

expected behaviour:
it should ask for a password for my key and then certify

I think it worked on some earlier versions.

Can you please check that the kleopatra self test shows no problems. This usually happens when gpg-agent is not running or GPG_AGENT_INFO is not properly set. But the self test dialog should report ist.

Works for me with current Kleopatra (KDE 4.10.3 in Gpg4win). Please reopen if not fixed for you.
