Description Mike 2009-12-02 07:19:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

Print dialog settings are discarded immediately after printing.

When setting print dialog "options", the duplex settings work. However, the settigns are lost immediately. The next time you try to print a document, the default setting (no duplex) is used.

Productivity Implications:
As multiple printing isn't available for Okular, each document must be printed multiple times for multiple copies. However, dialog settings are not persistent, so several additional steps must be undertaken for satisfactory printing of *each* copy of a document.

Expected behaviour:
The most commonly used printing options (duplex settings, colour modes, paper sizes / orientations) should be persistent, or the defaults should be configurable and persistent.

To reproduce:
Open a pdf document with two or more pages.
Select "Print"
Select "Options" in the print dialog
Select "Options" tab.
Change "Duplex Settings: None" to Duplex Settings: Long Edge".

Print the document. It will print two sided.

Select "Print".
Select "Options" in the print dialog
Select "Options" tab.

Duplex Settings will have reverted to "None"
