Considering the new Activities in KDE [1], Kopete should allow users to tag contacts as belonging to certain activities and only showing those contacts when an activity is selected.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
