Yes I can confirm. But I also use the speech system with mbrola. That's all the same. It is clearly not a problem of mbrola. Is this still valid with KDE SC 4.4.2? If yes, which Phonon backend are you using? Still valid. Xine backend. (In reply to comment #3) > Still valid. Xine backend. Yes, thats right. GStreamer is ok. I forgot, i use 4.3.5 with Gentoo. It works with GStreamer, for that it is no longer a problem for me. Problem is still valid here with KDE 4.4.3/Debian Sid/xine backend too. Phonon xine backend doesn't seem to work for wav files. Switched to gstreamer backend, that works. Any more information needed? Maybe it is possible to use both backends and assign mimetypes to them? Using xine backend with all soundfiles except wav and using gstreamer backend for wavs? Is this still valid with KDE 4.5? Yes, still valid. Thank you for the feedback. ok, great :) , i wait for the update. *** Bug 237567 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** HI, same for me too. kde 4.5.1 phonon git . xine-lib 1.1.18.1 and 1.1.19 . But the wavs I get a high pitch sound and all the wav in amarok show length 0:00 oh forgot to say gstreamer the wav's work but not mp3 *** Bug 254606 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Please use another backend, the xine backend is deprecated as the upstream development is stalled. You can choose between the gstreamer backend or the vlc backend, both are actively developed and maintained. |
