What I was doing when the application crashed:
I have three sound cards:
1. usb device: webcam with a bad microphone that I have disabled as sound input.
2. Ensoniq AudioPCI: old sound card only used for its microphone
3. HDA NVidia: on-board sound card that I use for sound output (its microphone does not work)
Pulseaudio is enabled.
I don't know how to reproduce the crashing of KMix. It happens sometimes.
In Mandriva Linux 2009.1 with KDE 4.2.4 KMix never crashed.
