Description Michael Monnerie 2009-11-27 12:53:11 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: openSUSE RPMs

When I receive a mail and want to answer, I usually just markup the text to be replied with the mouse. I attach an example where I marked exactly one line, then press "r" to reply.

But kmail indents not only that one line, but also makes a line below with just an ">" indent char, and places the cursor one line below. As that really looks ugly, I always have to delete that one ">" character now, which is boring. It used to be OK until openSUSE 11.1, so the behaviour did change now with openSUSE 11.2

Can this please be reverted? The e-mail now looks like

> indented line from original mail
>
**<< cursor is in this line

but it should look like this:
> indented line from original mail

**<< cursor is in this line

You see the missing > char but instead empty line?

I think I just fixed that with r1064361, should be in KDE 4.4 RC1.
