Version:            (using KDE 4.3.3)
Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

KMail uses tooltips to display folder/message information. These tooltips look rather oldfashioned. Dolphin uses a new style for tooltips that takes advantage of compositing (but looks also good without it).

KMail should adopt the Dolphin tooltip style.

Any news, if this will be implemented in any upcoming version?

This is implemented for all tooltips of KDE 4.5.
