I experience this on two different computers both with Kubuntu 9.10 with KDE 4.3.2.

I have a Google Talk account set up and I have a Meta-contact with two different Google JIDs.  That is to say that it is the same person but they have two different accounts and I have both listed under the same meta-contact.

I've tried to split one of the contacts into a new meta-contact so that I can better track statistics per contact but no matter what I do, Kopete will put them back together again.

They will appear separate for a very short period of time but then they automatically merge back together again.
