Description Steffen Michalek 2009-11-20 17:00:41 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Clicking on those green arrows / double arrows left and right the month's name
chooses an month or year before or after.
Sometimes, I want to shift two or three months and doubleclick or multiclick
those arrows fast.
If now the name of the following month is some amount longer or shorter than
the actual month's name, the following arrow click-field is moved some amount
from the one before.
So I miss the right arrow with my second or third click, resulting in
- no effect (that's not the worst thing)
- hitting the doublearrow, arriving at another calender year - without knowing
   that :-(
- hitting the year-field (with unexpected pop-up ...)

I would expect those arrows and doublearrows to stay in the same place
no matter what month or year is chosen.

I think, there is no necessity to arrange them very near the month/year words,

so one could take the longest name of the twelve months in the respective language
(those names are also taken in order to produce the pop-up list when clicking on
the actual month's name) - and place the arrows on the corresponding place in a
fixed manner.

Thanks to all KDE contributors, I like that desktop sooo much! :-)

this was fixed for the KDE 4.3.4 release and also for KDE 4.4
