Missing information: - Your KDE and Qt versions - A complete backtrace - Can you reproduce the crash at will all the times using some steps ? Get more information at http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Thanks I am using KNotes Version 3.9 using KDE 4.1.4. My OS is Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10. I dont know what backtrace means, but this is the message I get. KNotes crashes whenever, I try to delete a note. Application: KNotes (knotes), signal SIGSEGV [Current thread is 0 (LWP 6915)] Thread 2 (Thread 0xb3ba9b90 (LWP 7035)): #0 0xb8029430 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb631cdf1 in select () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #2 0xb745e150 in ?? (the current stable KDE version is 4.3.3). You are encouraged to update to that version (if your Ubuntu version provides a way to do that..) Thanks Pls let me know how I can upgrade to the supported version. I regularly update through update manager, I guess the KNotes updates are not showing up there. Thanks for your help! You probably need to update your whole distribution (to Ubuntu 9.04 or 9.10) or enabled some repository that gives you KDE SC 4.3. You need to ask in http://ubuntuforums.org/ for more information. Regards Thanks ! Closing correctly. |
