Version:           Konqueror 4.3.3 release 2 (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

start Konqueror, application search bar is normal height. Screen completes, search bar height is smaller, cannot see search text. Appears to happen when a flashplayer 10 frame or an advertisement frame is right below the application search frame.

Opera 10 does not have problem, Konqueror 4.3.2 and 4.3.1 did not have the problem. Firefox does not have problem.

I do not do anything special to have problem occur. Just start Konqueror with My home page set to the URL above.

Thanks I can confirm the bug in Konqueror 4.3.77. It looks a dup of bug introduced a lot of time ago.

@Dario: do you remember the old bug report of this problem?

@FiNeX: probably bug 154995 ? but that was related to "file" inputs ..
Bug 172915 was also related, and marked as dupe of the first one...

this still occurs in KDE4.4 on openSUSE 11.3. MS1. Thought I saw narrowing in OpenOffice spreadsheet also. Will check.
