Description Spiros G. 2009-11-17 23:43:22 UTC
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages

When the program starts, it defaults to give initial focus to the "Find" button.
It is more sane to give the default focus to the "Named" input field, because it is more common to fill some condition there before starting the search procedure.

The way it is now, the user has to make a few movements with the mouse or keyboard before being able to key in what is to be found. Especially if KFind has been invoked by some keyboard shortcut or krunner this is time consuming and annoying because the user has to leave the keyboard, reach for the mouse to give focus to the "Named" field and go again to the keyboard to key in the terms.

The "Find" button should remain the default one but it should not have the initial focus.
