Description rene 2009-11-17 23:29:44 UTC
Version:           1.0.0 beta 6 (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

it would be nice if digikam could import metadata from other programs while importing folders.
Usecase:
I often get CD/DVDs with photo collections from people using the Canon ZoomBrowser which I import into digikam. Those people add keywords using ZoomBrowser. It would be nice to have those keywords available in digikam after import-

Those collections often contain a file called zb4meta.info, which contains keywords and looks like an xml snippet like this:

<item:105_0557.JPG>

<kwd_people>"Daddy"</kwd_people>

<kwd_place>"Paris"</kwd_place>

</item:105_0557.JPG>

<item:105_0557_r1.jpg>

<kwd_people>"Daddy"</kwd_people>

<kwd_place>"Paris"</kwd_place>

</item:105_0557_r1.jpg>

Please attach zb4meta.info file to test.

Thanks in advance
