If this boils down to what I'm thinking, it's a serious one. Can you please tell me if you get this crash randomly when PowerDevil is not running? No. I do not get this type of crash at other times. Sometimes Kate crashes when I open something from gnome but not from kde. From bug 227798 (4.3.2): -- What I was doing when the application crashed: KDED4 crashed while entering the Login manager in System settings. -- Backtrace: #6 Private (this=0xbf9bcc8c, p=...) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qvariant.h:343 #7 QVariant (this=0xbf9bcc8c, p=...) at kernel/qvariant.cpp:1371 #8 0x007db7b0 in QDBusPendingReplyData::argumentAt (this=0xbf9bcce0, index=0) at qdbuspendingreply.cpp:268 #9 0x01ad0f7f in argumentAt<0> (this=0xa05f348) at /usr/include/qt4/QtDBus/qdbuspendingreply.h:174 #10 QDBusPendingReply<bool, void, void, void, void, void, void, void>::operator bool (this=0xa05f348) at /usr/include/qt4/QtDBus/qdbuspendingreply.h:184 #11 PowerManagementPrivate (this=0xa05f348) at ../../../solid/solid/powermanagement.cpp:37 #12 0x01ad2157 in operator-> () at ../../../solid/solid/powermanagement.cpp:27 #13 Solid::PowerManagement::appShouldConserveResources () at ../../../solid/solid/powermanagement.cpp:58 ... *** Bug 227798 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 243588 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 238365 *** Created attachment 51287 [details]

*** Bug 253015 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 250234 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Not a duplicate. I do not see this issue in version kde 4.5.1. that I installed with 10.10. I am not sure if what was called "power devil" before is not "blue devil" or "power management". In any case it has been resolved. It might have probably been resolved in the earlier versions as well. Thank you very much to the Developers and others who worked on this bug to rectify it. Love KDE. And sorry for notifying it late. [Comment from a bug triager] Mh, there are cases from KDE SC 4.5.1: comment 7 and bug 261482. - Is this fixed in some version after 4.5.1 or it is still unfixed ? Regards *** Bug 261482 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
