Powertop shows that Amarok causes many wakups per second (about 15%) even when it is not playing any file and only the tray icon is visible.

"amarok : hrtimer_start_range_ns (hrtimer_wakeup)"

Probably a timer needed for for playback or for some visual effects is not disabled when reduced to icon/hidden to tray icon.
