(to fetch remote data) Thanks Yes, one of them is wheather widget. It shows me wheather forecast for 3 days. It connects to BBC which should use data from British Meteorological Office. From what I have read this could happen if there is some permission mismatch in some special system file. It is certainly not KDE related.
