Please attach your ~/.kde/share/config/okularrc (check to not have confidential infos in it, before). Created attachment 38337 [details]
okular configuration
Two tests to do: 1) try to open the recent file #10 (see entry File10[$e] in the okularrc) in kwrite (yes, even if it is a PDF, just take care to not edit it), and see whether the same problem happens in kwrite's recent files menu 2) run just okular with another style (eg `okular -style plastique`), and see whether the menu is painted correctly Your guess was right, also kwrite's recent files became weird. For the record: same result with different style. I can't reproduce that, i mean, i open "http://www.chalmers.se/en/sections/education/student-life-at-chalmers/accommodation/downloadFile/attachedFile_f0/Student_housing_in_Goteborg_HT_2009-1.pdf?nocache=1241593982.66" that is long and doesn't fit on my screen and all i get is a menu that doesn't fit on screen but the menu contents are not destroyed like yours. Are you using kwin desktop effects? Can you try disabling them? The one causing the problem is: "/home/salvo/Downloads/Douglas Adams - A Compendium - The Hitchhiker's Guide - The Dirk Gently Series - Last Chance To See - Starship Titanic - And More.pdf" which is much longer than the one you chose I created a file with that name on a similar path and still works, what about my other question, do you use kwin desktop effects? Yes i do use them And does disabling kwin effects fix the problem? Yes *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 213267 *** |
