Description Marcus Harrison 2009-11-11 11:25:18 UTC
Version: 2.1 RC 1 (using KDE 4.3.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I will attach a screenshot.

The only problem I have found thus far is rotation. It causes a graphical glitch along the edges of the text area, creating large, black borders to appear and obscure the text.
Resizing and skewing show no problems. Additionally, rotating after skewing the text shape appears to work, showing that this is a problem with the initial shape.

Also interesting to note is that this problem does not exist in KPresenter, as when I tested it here neither the text shapes in the templates nor a new shape created from the Add Shapes dialogue reproduced this bug.

2.1 from ubuntu packages? I don't think ubuntu packages koffice 2.1.

I suspect you are using an unsupported packages which are build against an alpha version of Qt which means this is not a koffice bug.

KOffice 2.1 Beta 2 packages have been available from the Kubuntu PPA for some time, and I just upgraded to RC 1 today. However, I have found the PPA packages of KOffice to be less-then-fair...

if you got it from PPA then I bet its a packaging error. You might want to compile it yourself or push your distro to make proper packages :)
