Version:           0.9.2 (using 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2), MS Visual Studio 2008 SP1)
Compiler:          cl.exe
OS:                Microsoft Windows (i686) release 5.1 (XP Professional)

If I try to open a file, for example 
'H:\matthias\Documents\Privat\Kochen-Cocktails\Kochrezepte\Kochrezepte.pdf'

I only get the error 'could not open file'. (This does depend on the path or the pdf file)

However opening dvi files works.

I meant:
The error does NOT depend on the path or the pdf file.

Did you build okular yourself? Did you build it with poppler support?

No, I am just using the latest KDE-Windows packages.
