Description Maciej Pilichowski 2009-11-08 15:15:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I have access to directory A (+files, +subdirectories) via Samba. I also have directory A on my local disk.

When I copy A from samba to local (using Krusader, Dolphin) my intention is clear -- copy all files/directories from samba:A to local:A. Ask me when the same files exist.

But despite Krusader or Dolphin sees A is directory it treats it like a file -- after initial scanning of samba:A I get confirmation dialog informing me that __file__ A already exists, and asking me if I want to:
a) write into (?)
b) write into all (?)
c) skip
...

It is a bug -- there is no such thing as file A, only directory A. Asking for confirmation on directories does not make sense -- with 10K directories user would have to confirm 10K "overwrites".

Treat samba directories as directories and ask for confirmation in case of files.
