With all the features that the xine engine offers it would really be nice if we could have a advanced configuration dialog such that is found in the xine-ui or the old KDE 3 version of Kaffiene.  Right now it is very frustrating that a person cannot get something as trivial as AC-3/DTS passthru to work with anything passing through Phonon.  The same thing goes with not being able to specify items like preferred video playback options such as video output driver as well (such as xv, xvmc, vdpau, etc).  If native KDE 4 apps are to be using items such as phonon then those advance properties have to be also easily setup through KDE 4 settings as well before KDE 4 can truly become a good replacement for KDE 3.
