Sentry Crash Report:

Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2009-11-06 16:44:31 UTC
Version: 1.12.3 (using 4.3.3 (KDE 4.3.3) "release 1", KDE:43 / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.37-0.1-default

apparently the massage has to be opened in a separate window (to trigger the download on demand) by cklicking the message header.
Opening atatchemnts from this window always works.

Further more, its impossible to view a message without downloading the attachments if someone has disabled the preview pane.

So when double click on a mail to see it, the pop up window does not appear until all the attachments are downloaded. This happens regardless of the setting "Load attachments on demand"

I experience a similar annoyance with Kmail 4.7.3 KDE 4.7.4 (Kubuntu). Please help!

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
