Description Alain BAECKEROOT 2009-11-05 12:28:20 UTC
Version: 0.9.2 (kde 4.3.2) (using KDE 4.3.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

When reading a pdf on a large screen, it is sometimes needed to see 2 pages side by side, but not the one choosen by okular

Okular shows pages (1 and 2) then (3 and 4) side by side, and always (odd, even)

I need to see pages (2 and 3) too (even, odd)

This seems impossible currently in Okular 0.9.2 (kde 4.3.2), and also in evince (from gnome 2.28.1)

Settings -> Configure Okular -> Center first page
Comment 2 Alain BAECKEROOT 2009-11-05 22:42:50 UTC
I was unclear:
with Settings -> Configure Okular -> Center first page
then i can only see pages (odd, even) side by side and need to change the settings again if in the same document i want to see (even, odd) side by side. This is not very convenient.

Maybe just adding a button doing "Center first page" would be enought, or name this button "shift one page" would be a better description.

You really have such a broken document? that you need both odd even and even odd?
Comment 4 Alain BAECKEROOT 2009-11-06 01:59:30 UTC
yes, with tables crossing pages... :-( and it is not the first time i need this feature.

The document is a kind of spec (so read-only => pdf), from a client, probably just an MS-word exported to .pdf

Maybe for this document i would better print it and use cissors and glue :)

But a button to change "Center first page" would be more convenient than changing settings for each new pdf.
