What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was trying to learn how to use kdevelop a few days ago, and i attempted to create a project with the wizard in order to train. I was interrupted when kdevelop acquired some include files that were not installed. Today I attempted again, and by the way i decided to upgrade to ubuntu 9.10. After the upgrade, I opened kdevelop, realizing that it is very different from the previous version and difficult to navigate, for me that had so small experience with kdevelop. I found some button "build" and clicked on it, but maybe the system did not crash there, i was also clicking on buttons in order to find a tree view etc.

Never change a running system unless you have good reason to do so. And also inform yourself about what that upgrade might bring you.
