Description Malte S. Stretz 2009-11-02 17:13:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: MS Windows
Installed from: MS Windows

Like associating all supported graphics extensions with Gwenview, maybe based on the shared MIME data installed. Of course this should be undone once an application is uninstalled. Oh, and actions could be registered with the Autorun dialog (display photos with Digikam, etc.). And I want a pony :)

Maybe the applications could also offer a menu item to do so.

This feature may be a good candidate for a gsoc project ?

The installer by itself do not know anything about extensions and need a command line tool provided by the base kde installation as already done for mime-type update (update-mime-database), kde database update (kbuildsycoca4) and start menu installation (kwinstartmenu)
