Description David Rankin 2009-10-30 16:48:23 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from:    openSUSE RPMs

Gwenview
Version 2.3.2
Using KDE 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 178

When attempting to move or copy a file in gwenview browse mode, gwenview ignores the SHIFT and CTRL keys to determine whether the file should be "moved" or "copied" to the new location. REgardless of whether the SHIFT or CTRL key is held down during the operation, gwenview always prompts the user with the pop-up:

*  Move Here
*  Copy Here
*  Link Here
------------
*  Cancel

as if no modifier key had been held at all. This is unexpected behavior. When the SHIFT key is held during the drag-and-drop to a new folder, the file should be moved to the new folder without further prompting of the user. When the CTRL key is held, the file should be copied to the new folder without further prompting of the user.

Something is out of whack somewhere :-)

[from bug 196083]

When dragging files into folders from within Gwenview, the Move/Copy/Cancel
dialogue appears even if the user held Shift or Alt during the drag.
