I think this is a bit out of scope of kcalc.. Subject: Re: calculating with hours and minutes
Hi,

Maybe, but you can also set the base (decimal, hex, ...). So I think
it would be a cool feature to have an hour-minute-calculator, why
not? You don't have to use it but you could if you want to...

My hardware calculator has this functionality and it was also on of its
advanced functionallities I had to use much in school.

??, it seems there's a bug in bugzilla as I did nothing...?? (I already saw
before that bugs.kde.org said I confirmed a bug, while I didn't confirm it (I
even don't have the rights to confirm bugs!) :s )
I lowered the number of votes a bug needs to be automatically confirmed to 41, i.e. at least 3 people are required to turn a bug from UNCO to NEW. Your bug has 65 votes, so its status changed. Regarding the bug: It will not be fixed in KDE-3.3 (no time, alpha-release has already happened). Maybe I'll implement it for KDE-3.4. I think the feature is nice, but I have to think about making some stable framework, because I would also like to implement fractions and complex numbers... Yes, but the issue is that I'm just one of the _voters_ and not the reporter
or hacker from Kcalc...and bugzilla says that I changed it to new... :s

Base 60 is also quite useful when working with angles. Most pocket calculators know how to convert between the decimal and sexagesimal systems. (30,2625° = 30°15'45"). There is still no progress in that feature? Come on, it's an easy task to implement somethng like 3h 20min + 1h 45 min which should also be entered as 3.2+1.45 The solution should be 5,05 or 5h 5min. I could also start coding this if someone will integrate that afterwards. Thanks Andreas Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved. No, there is still no time-calculator in kcalc. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 460684 *** |
