Description Thomas Baag 2009-10-25 02:25:26 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.3.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I just wanted to write an email and wondered why i can not find the contact i have tried to reach. I looked in KAdressBook and found my WebDAV adressbook empty! I've double checked it with cadaver and suprise: it is really empty. What the f is going on here?

And again they are gone, but this time i was prepared.
Fool me once shame on you - fool me twice shame on me.

I think i know now how to reproduce this Bug:
 - start Kontact while not having a (internet) connection to your WebDAV
 - establish the (internet) connection to your WebDAV
 - close Kontact
Kontact will start to save the empty list of contacts in your contacts-file.

Thank you for your efforts you put into this bug. kab3 has long been deprecated, and so I close its old reports. If this bug/wish is still valid for kab3's successor kaddressbook in any recent version (5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08.0 or later), please file a new bug against kaddressbook.
