My kde starts within 24 seconds when the desktop type is set to wallpeper. When I set the desktop type to folderview it increases to 1 minute. This doesn't happen when the folderview is placed on the desktop as common plasmoid.

- Are both folderviews (as a simple widget or as the complete desktop) pointing to the same location ? - Is this location network related? 
(I ask because there are some bug reports about kde startup delays when trying to load some network specific stuff)

Yes, both pointing at my home folder, but it's on the local hard drive.
